Description

The Frey Auto Vanos exhaust camshaft gear specifically designed for BMW N13 engine. Unlike a conventional camshaft sprocket, this gear is a hydraulic camshaft phaser that integrates with the timing chain drive system which is mounted on the exhaust camshaft and adjusts camshaft timing under the control of the DME via the VANOS solenoid. This unit continuously advances or retards the exhaust camshaft timing according to engine speed, load and operating conditions, improving engine torque, fuel economy, idle quality and exhaust emissions while ensuring precise valve timing throughout the RPM range.

Crafted using durable hardened steel sprocket, precision-machined internal vane mechanism, high-strength alloy locking components, and precision oil galleries to ensure resistance against continuous timing chain loads and hydraulic oil pressure.
